Frequently Asked Questions

What do I get for free?

Pain Point is free to download.

The Free tier includes:

  • The full interactive, rotatable and zoomable 3D pain model
  • All 14 pain zones
  • Pain-location information
  • Possible culprit muscles
  • Common causes and avoidance information
  • The names of 70+ releases
  • Favorites by muscle and by release
  • The searchable All Muscles browser
  • How to Use guidance
  • 2 free release-video unlock credits

No subscription is required to use these free features.

How do the 2 free video unlock credits work?

Every new download of the App includes 2 free unlock credits. Pain Point does not use accounts, so free credits live in the App itself on the device where it is installed.

One credit unlocks one specific release technique video for one specific muscle.

If a muscle has multiple techniques, each technique is a separate video choice.

Once you use a credit to unlock a technique, that technique remains available on that device without requiring an active Premium subscription.

Important: Free-credit unlocks are stored locally. If you delete the App, clear its local data, or reset your device, those free unlocks may not be recoverable.

What does Premium include?

Premium gives you full access to the complete Pain Point library, including:

  • 70+ guided release and stretch videos
  • All available Premium release techniques
  • Multiple techniques for muscles where different approaches are available
  • Videos demonstrated by Dr. Joe Damiani

Premium is available as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription.

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your subscription options, pricing, and billing period are shown in the App before you purchase.

Do I need an account?

No.

Pain Point works without an account or sign-up. You do not need to provide a name, email address, or password to use the App.

How do I restore my Premium subscription?

Use Restore Purchases inside Pain Point.

Premium subscriptions are purchased through the App Store and can generally be restored using the purchase history associated with the Apple ID that originally made the purchase.

Restoration requires the same Apple ID that was used for the original purchase.

If Restore Purchases finds nothing, first confirm you are signed in to the correct Apple ID in your device's App Store settings, then try again.

If restoration is still not working, contact us at:

[email protected]

How do I cancel my subscription?

Pain Point subscriptions are managed through Apple.

You can cancel your subscription through your Apple ID / App Store subscription settings.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.

Deleting the Pain Point App does not automatically cancel your subscription.

Your Premium access will generally remain active through the end of the subscription period you already paid for.

How do I request a refund?

Purchases made through the Apple App Store are processed by Apple.

Refund requests must be submitted through Apple and are subject to Apple’s refund policies and approval.

You can request a refund from Apple directly at reportaproblem.apple.com or by contacting Apple Support.

Physioloops, LLC does not directly process Apple App Store payments and generally cannot issue an Apple purchase refund directly.

Do my free unlocked videos disappear if I cancel Premium?

No.

A video that you individually unlocked using one of your 2 free credits does not require an active Premium subscription.

However, free-credit unlocks are stored locally and may not be recoverable if the App is deleted or its local data is cleared.

Your Premium subscription entitlement can generally be restored through your applicable App Store purchase records.

What happens if I delete and reinstall the App?

Free-credit unlocks are stored locally, so deleting the App, clearing its data, or resetting your device may cause free unlocks to be lost and may not be recoverable.

Premium is tied to your Apple ID purchase history, so after reinstalling you can recover your Premium access using Restore Purchases in the App.

A video is not loading. What should I do?

Pain Point videos stream over the internet.

Try the following:

  1. Check that you have a working internet connection.
  2. Switch between Wi-Fi and cellular data if available.
  3. Close and reopen Pain Point.
  4. Try playing the video again.
  5. Restart your device if the issue continues.

If the problem persists, email [email protected]Ā and include:

  • The muscle or release you were trying to watch
  • Your device model
  • Your iOS version
  • A screenshot of any error message, if possible

Can I save my favorite muscles and releases?

Yes.

Pain Point allows you to save:

  • Favorite muscles
  • Favorite individual release techniques

Your favorites are stored locally on your device for easy access.

Can I search for a specific muscle?

Yes.

The All Muscles section lets you browse and search for a specific muscle directly instead of starting from one of the 14 pain zones.

How does the 3D pain model work?

You can rotate and zoom the model and view it from the front, back, and side.

Tap an area where you feel pain to open the corresponding pain zone and explore muscles whose common referral patterns overlap that area.

Pain Point includes 14 pain zones covering areas of the head, jaw, neck, shoulders, upper back, chest, and arms.

Pain Point provides educational information about possible muscular contributors. It does not diagnose the cause of your pain.

Why does a muscle have more than one release technique?

Some muscles can be approached in different ways.

For example, a muscle may have different self-release, stretch, internal, external, or tool-assisted techniques.

Pain Point includes 70+ releases, and many muscles offer more than one technique so you can explore different approaches.

Each individual technique video counts as a separate unlock when using a free video credit.

Premium includes access to all available Premium techniques.

Is Pain Point medical treatment?

No.

Pain Point provides educational self-care information and is not a medical diagnostic or treatment service.

It does not replace evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, or advice from a physician, physical therapist, dentist, or other qualified healthcare professional.

If you have severe, unusual, rapidly worsening, or concerning symptoms, seek appropriate medical care.

Why do I have to acknowledge a medical disclaimer when I first open the App?

Safety is important when providing self-release and stretching information.

Every new installation requires completion of the introductory screens and acknowledgment of the medical and safety disclaimer before any Pain Point content can be accessed.

This helps make clear that Pain Point is educational and does not replace individualized professional healthcare.

Is Pain Point available on Android?

Android is coming soon.

Follow Physioloops or join our email list for future availability announcements.

How is my information handled?

Pain Point does not require an account and does not maintain a cloud-based history of the pain areas you select.

Pain selections, favorites, onboarding acknowledgment, preferences, and free unlock information are primarily stored locally on your device.

Apple processes App Store purchases, RevenueCat helps manage purchase entitlements, and Vimeo delivers Pain Point videos.
